MPLOY is looking for a friendly and people centric Receptionist to join our Client’s team in Poundbury Dorchester. Although you would start as a temporary member of the team, you would actually work for us for 12 weeks, our Client would look to make you permanent after 3 months of satisfactory service. Fab. Our Client is looking for a candidate who:

  • is happy to be a friendly and helpful first point of contact for the surgery’s patients. You will be responsible for helping patients whether they choose to contact the practice by telephone, email, fax, online chat or face to face in-practice.
  • comfortably handles data. You can expect to be inputting, locating and retrieving patient data regularly. You’ll be a good typist and have a good eye for detail.
  • has great admin skills such as: as handling mail, photocopying, taking and distributing messages, note making, ordering stationery, replenishing practice inventory, assembling records, filing appropriately etc.
  • picks up new I.T systems quickly and is conversant with the Microsoft Office Package. You will learn and use the practice’s appointment system to make routine appointments, book patients in etc.
  • is comfortable using EPOS systems and has experience in accepting payments / issuing receipts.
  • is quick on their feet. You will know what to do if a patient is in an emergency, respond appropriately to aggression / rudeness and be able to handle a complaint in line with practice procedure.
  • follows procedures.
