MPLOY are seeking someone to work on a long term ongoing basis in Ilminster, working at a company that manufacture metal products for the automotive and aerospace industries.
You will be responsible for the management of all waste streams throughout the factory, as well as receiving and delivering supplies around the factory. It is a very important job that is respected and helps everyone else within all departments to do their jobs effectively.
You will need to have a current forklift licence, and be able to work indoors and outdoors across all factory areas.
Duties will include:
• Collecting and disposing of machine swarf (waste metal material)
• Collecting and emptying skips, old drums, oil waste, general waste
• Process waste through compactor, including emptying internal and external bins
• Follow company policies ensuring the right waste is placed in the right container
• Unloading deliveries and supplying them internally to correct department.
You’ll need to work to a schedule to ensure that all waste is removed at the right time, to help increase productivity. You’ll also support departments with various ad-hoc tasks that will help them to respond to day-to-day tasks in their production and maintenance areas.
